The history of Sampo combine harvester
Sampo Rosenlew Ltd has its roots on the same plot of land in the heart of Pori for over 150 years, with its origins dating back to 1853 when the family company Oy W. Rosenlew Ab was established. The idea of the Sampo Rosenlew company was born in 1991, and today it is known worldwide for its high-quality grain combines and forestry machinery. The production of grain combines began in 1957, with over 50,000 combines delivered to approximately 50 countries over the course of 60 years. Its market areas include the Nordic countries, Europe, North Africa, and the CIS countries, with over 90 percent of its products being exported. In addition to grain combines, Sampo expanded its production to forestry machinery in the late 1990s. Sampo Rosenlew specializes in solutions for forest thinning, which brings significant economic and forestry-related benefits. The company employs around 250 specialists in Pori, recognizing the role of committed and competent staff in the production and product development process.
