Sampo-Rosenlew has deep roots in Finnish industrial history. The company was founded in Pori in the mid-19th century. In the early 1900s, it began manufacturing agricultural machinery. The real innovation came in 1957, when the company launched its first self-propelled combine harvester Sampo. In March 2016, a strategic partnership was formed with Indian vehicle manufacturer Mahindra, which acquired a 35 percent stake in Sampo Rosenlew.
