The History of Fendt Tractors

Fendt is one of the leading companies in the agricultural tractor market, distinguished by a long history and high quality of its machines. Since the introduction of the first small Dieselross tractor with 6 horsepower in 1930, the company has continuously developed its offerings by introducing new models, with particular emphasis on technological advancements.
In the thirties and forties of the last century, Fendt introduced the Dieselross F 18 tractor to the market, which was equipped with an independent power take-off shaft regardless of the driving speed (WOM). Less than ten years later, the Favorit 1 model was introduced, featuring a 40 horsepower engine and a multi-speed gearbox. A rear implement lift was added to the tractor, enhancing its versatility.
During the 1960s and 1970s, Fendt continued its development by introducing the Turbomatic flywheel in the Farmer 3 S model, as well as specialized tractors for vineyard, hop, and fruit farming. In the 1980s and 1990s, the Fendt brand became a pioneer in producing high-power tractors equipped with turbochargers, hydro-pneumatic cabin suspension, and a front axle suspension. The first models with a continuously variable Vario gearbox were also introduced.
In the twenty-first century, Fendt maintains its hard-earned position as a leader in modern solutions by introducing the Efficient Technology series.
